about

This song was supposed to stay unreleased.
After the tremendous loss to the family of my cousin, Ralph Wakefield, at the tiny age of 6 months, I felt I needed to do at least something.
This song is about the security a baby must feel in the arms of its parents.

Every single penny raised from sales of this song will be donated to the Lullaby Trust, and that is the sole reason that, on Safer Sleep Week, I make this song available.

Track Name: Lullaby
I would ask the fireflies to burn your name in bright white lights and leave us as we both succumb to sleep.
I would ask the fairies now to keep you safe 'coz they'd know how and leave us as we both succumb to sleep.

Sat close to me as we dream of sweet release.
Take my hand, there's an everlasting peace in sleep.

Subtle movements and deep breaths, near silent sounds come from your chest.
I'll leave you now as you succumb to sleep.
No more fears and no more cries, no more tears from closing eyes.
I'll leave you now as you succumb to sleep.

Stay close to me as we dream of sweet release.
Take my hand, there's an everlasting peace in sleep.
