about

This track is about a thought I had. It is basically about a man (I suppose, the anti-Jesus) who forms the basis of a religion in his head. In this case, however, instead of people being open to the idea of his religion, they shun him and he becomes an outcast.

lyrics

You know you'll walk away from this
You know that the damage is done.
You know you won't return to this 'til you know the war is won.
You know the world is changing
and you know you no longer fit in
But the blood on your hands won't change the demands of the masses.

So wash yourself in the river
'til they become believers
Wash yourself in the river
'til they become believers.

You know they've heard your story
and they don't believe a word
They ban their children from going near you
on pretenses that they have heard.
You preach every day in the market
Though you differ, you breathe the same air
All you say seems so natural
But no-one seems to care.

So wash yourself in the river
'til they become believers
Wash yourself in the river
'til they become believers.

All you believe washed out to sea.
